Supported Tibetan Characters
The Tibetan Language Kit supports so many stacked syllables that it’s simply not feasible to attempt to illustrate all of them in this document. Nevertheless, we’re certain that our support for 500+ stacked syllables is more than adequate for most uses. What’s more, we can add new stacks quite easily as needed.
Our support for Tibetan pretty much covers the whole gamut — for a complete overview, visit the Unicode web site for a PDF version of the Tibetan glyphs included in Unicode. With the exception of a few astrological signs (the pebbles and crosses) you’ll have direct access to every character included in Unicode 3.2.
In fact, if you really need the pebbles and crosses, you can use the Unicode Hex Input to display them by holding down the OPTION key and typing the corresponding Unicode address.
Below is a brief overview of most of the Tibetan characters directly supported. But even this list is not exhaustive.
Basic Characters
The following characters are generally considered the main constituents of the Tibetan alphabet and all of them are supported in all versions of the Tibetan Language Kit.

We use the letter ཀ to indicate the positioning of non-spacing marks even though the resulting combination is inappropriate or non-sensical.

Miscellaneous Signs
These signs are available in the Tibetan Language Kit for OS X but they are not included in the current version of Unicode. We have encoded them for use within our kit but their inclusion in a later version of Unicode may cause these signs to behave erratically at some time in the future.
