XenoType Technologies is happy to provide Unicode support for Inuktitut under OS X 10.2. This is just
one of several minority products offered by XenoType Technologies.
With this kit you can compose Unicode Inuktitut text for the
Internet
(web
pages,
emails)
or personal use. As more and more applications become Unicode-compliant,
the possibilities for Inuktitut are endless.
Inuktitut uses a syllabic script with more than 100 possible characters but because
Inuktitut requires no exceptional text processing, this kit can
be used with any application that currently supports Unicode
input.
The Inuktitut Language Kit includes one font and two keyboard drivers — one to support native keyboarding standards and another one that allows clever
syllabic typing by implementing a pseudo-phonetic scheme.
This kit does not support the other languages represented in the Unicode block
(Cree, Dakelh, etc.) Unified Canadian Aboriginal Syllabics at this time.
